Vivonics Wound Imaging Technology gets honorable mention in M2D2 $200k Challenge

A Vivonics project, in collaboration with the University of Arkansas and Arkansas Children's HospitalNTVA: Non-contact tissue viability assessment, received an honorable mention in the 2018 UMASS Lowell M2D2 $200k ChallengeThe goal of the $200K Challenge as described by UMASS Lowell, "...is to identify the most promising innovations that will move the needle in healthcare."

Vivonics CEO and President, Gordon B. Hirschman and Senior Signal Processing & Algorithm Engineer, Dr. Michele Pierro (pictured above right) presented during the poster presentation at the M2D2 Challenge.

NTVA is an innovative, portable, non-invasive, non-contact, and easy to use diagnostic imager based on near-infrared (NIR) light, which will promptly allow surgeons to quantitatively assess the tissue health, thus providing objective metrics to support and guide tissue excision. This project was funded by the U. S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA).
