Director of R&D Operations - Medical Devices 

Vivonics, Inc. is seeking a versatile and experienced engineering management professional to lead multiple medical device development projects focusing on non-invasive monitoring applications and to provide engineering and program management support to government proposal activities.

The Director of R&D Operations will be responsible for managing the activities of an inter-disciplinary team of engineers executing multiple government-funded development projects for a variety of applications, primarily focused on non-invasive physiological monitoring, and for contributing to development of  proposals for additional funding in this and related areas. 

Working as part of the senior management team, the candidate would be expected to provide engineering technical direction, create and manage project schedules and plans, allocate staff resources and ensure that the tasks, milestones, and deliverables are being accomplished on time, within budget and in accordance with all government contract/grant requirements and quality standards.  The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills that will allow him/her to work in a team environment to meet multiple priorities and optimize use of resources across the organization.  Ability to lead and mentor engineering staff and communicate effectively with outside collaborators, government sponsors, potential customers and Vivonics management is essential.

Vivonics, Inc. is seeking an experienced hands-on group leader, project manager and senior contributor to lead medical device development projects.

The Mechanical Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading select government-funded R&D projects in novel medical device development, and providing functional leadership to mechanical and biomedical engineers supporting these projects as well as those led by other project managers.

The ideal candidate will have broad and innovative skills that will allow him/her to work in a team environment to find solutions to challenging problems.   They will work with senior scientists and engineers who provide subject matter expertise to translate high level concepts into solutions to realize novel device concepts.
